Is Dial up REALLY as bad as they make it out to be?

Is Dial up REALLY as bad as they make it out to be?
My local ISP is starting out at . per month.As you know Dial up services are often as low as . per month.I now have to make a decision.At first it seems easy.Go with the . dial up.But yesterday some chick on yahoo answers said you cant get you tube on dail up unless you wait an hour or for it to load!

Dont get dialup. Sure its only . a month. But really they shouldnt charge that much. It barley gets you connected to the Internet. If you want to watch movies or little sound clip you have to wait a while for it to download. Go with the cable or DSL or whatever you want to get, its much faster and these days with all the videos and sound and large web pages out there you need something that can handle it. I know that i would NEVER give up my broadband...even if dial up was free.
